When weary singer-songwriter Geoff Lewis bumped into drummer Gary Lee in the reduced section of the local Tesco extra after an open mic night in North London, a quarrel over the last egg & cress sandwich soon descended into an hour long debate over the best albums of the last 20 years. Having decided to split the sandwich, they arranged a rehearsal in Gary's basement the next evening. They played night after night, conceiving the dark, anxiety-laden songs that now form the basis of debut album 'Anthems for the Paranoid', Lewis fidgeting with guitar effects and dreaming up unnecessary string parts while Gary tried to stop mice chewing a hole in his kick drum. Far from a self-help manual for those in seek of meaningful meditation, Mind Is Still wants only to unleash expansive, melodic rock on anyone of a suitably nervous disposition. And with the help of bassist Dave Rice, guitarist Alex Villar and a successful online crowdfunding campaign, the band have birthed their first two singles, ready to embark on a debut UK tour in 2019.
